In 1994, Dave Belski gave me three homemade copies of the Pierre Allain descender. I'm not sure if he made these or obtained them form someone else, nor do I know why they chose this ascender to copy.
The first verion is a small descender. Note the extra horn on the bottom of the crosspiece.

Version B is larger, and better finished.

Version C is too large for my taste. It was not as well finished as the other two.
