All of these eights are bent (they will not lie flat) so they have two different rigging configurations that provide different friction.
None of these has a round or oval rope hole.

The Fisher, Version B was cut from bronze plate.
The Pierre Allain was cast from aluminum alloy.
The Rocksport was cast from phosphor bronze
The Simond Krokro has internal grooves in the rope hole to provide more friction.
The Ural Alp was made from nickel-plated aluminum sheet metal.
