Version A

The Frendo design very nicely allows one to rig the eight without unclipping it from the seat harness. Although this isn't really a problem in most caving or climbing situations, canyoning provides a real opportunity to drop equipment. This eight was designed for that scenario, and satisfies the niche needs very well.

Version B

Version B is the same as Version A except for the finish, which is a thick painted finish. I don't like paint on my descenders because it will inevitably rub off on the rope.
