Advanced Base Camp Decelerator

Technical details

I acquired my Advanced Base Camp Decelerator from Inner Mountain Outfitters in 1996.

The Advanced Base Camp Decelerator is a square tuber. It is forged from aluminum alloy and hard anodized. Mine is 49 mm. long, 85 mm. wide, 86 mm. high, and weighs 76 g. The keeper is made from plastic covered cable held in place by crimps in the dividing tube.

There are no markings in the metal of my Decelerator, nut it came with a cheap sticker saying "KOREA."

Comments

The ABC Decelerator looks and functions much like the Trango Pyramid. The ribs are rounded, not square like those on most of the other tubers.
