Technical details

I acquired this plate from Graham Barrett in 2007.

The Outside belay plate is 51 mm. long, 46 mm. wide, 10 mm. thick, and weighs 37 g. It has two slots. The larger slot is 31.8 mm. long and 14.4 mm. wide, and the smaller slot is 28.2 mm. long and 13.1 mm. wide. There are two 5 mm. holes for tying a keeper loop.

One side of the plate is stamped "OUTSIDE" and the other "340."

Comments

The Outside strongly resembles the Wild Country Brakeman, but the second hole allows one to tie a U-shaped keeper cord if desired.
