BPS

The Single Rope Technique BPS is a normal slotted belay plate with spring. The spring helps keep the plate away from the brake carabiner. This is not essential, but it simplifies feeding and taking in rope. Two Phillips head screws hold the spring in a notch turned into the lower corner of the plate.

This plate is stamped "S.R.T." for the Australian company, Single Rope Technique.

BP1

The Single Rope Technique BP1 is a normal milled double-rope "Sticht" plate. The plate is not identical to the BPS plate with the spring removed: it does not have the turned notch and the holes are not threaded.

This plate is stamped "S.R.T." for the Australian company, Single Rope Technique.
